Anne to her friends was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 24, 1928.

A musician during the late 1950's through the early 1980's.  Her stage name Anne Field, played the bass in nightclubs, wrote music, and was generally a trendsetter in her time.  Her hobby was painting and drawing.  Her attention to detail always intrigued me.

Although never having had the opportunity for formal training, during her teen years, Walt Disney offered her an education in California after seeing a drawing of hers.  Her mother did not let her go, of course in those years teenage girls did not travel alone to live away from their families.

During an 11-year marriage in the '50's, she had a stillborn and became very depressed.  She went to the countryside for rest and started painting some of her early '50's work there.  Her outlet for her depression was painting.

She continued her painting hobby from the '50's through the '80's; she told me that painting calmed her down helping her cope with stressful times.  Her last paintings were complete in the late '80's when she painted to entertain her life companion who was dying of cancer.

After her partner died in 1989, her mother, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease, worsened entering a nursing home where she died in 1999.  During those 10 years caring for her mother, she involved herself with ballroom dancing.

Anne is my mother; she has Alzheimer's disease now too.  She lives in a rest home in Fairview, North Carolina where she still sings and dances for her fellows.  She is a delightful, adorable, trendsetter with great humor and wit even to her end.

I dedicate my life to sharing her artwork with the world.
